This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Would you please provide the following information using the latest statistics you have?:

The number of valid British passports, separately listed by type.

By valid passports, I mean those that have not expired and (to your knowledge) have not been cancelled. By type, I mean the following: British citizens (machine-readable code GBR), British Overseas Territories Citizens (GBD), British Overseas citizens (GBO), British subjects (GBS), British protected persons (GBP), British Nationals (Overseas) (GBN), Queen’s Messenger, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey, and Isle of Man.

I would prefer the information in electronic form by email, please.

Indeed, to avoid rounds of iterative refinement, may I please suggest that you provide the information by type from British citizens (GBR) onwards until the fee threshold is reached.
