Number of Ukrainians now registered as statutory homeless
Dear Warwick District Council,
Please can you tell me the following:
1. How many Ukrainian people have come to live in households in
Warwick under the Homes for Ukraine scheme since 14 March 2022?
2. How many of those Ukrainian people who have come to live in
Warwick since 14 March 2022 under the Homes for Ukraine scheme are
now registered as statutory homeless?
3. How many of those Ukrainian people who have come to live in
Warwick since 14 March 2022 under the Homes for Ukraine scheme are
now registered as homeless?
4. What is being done by Warwick District Council to help those
Ukrainians who came to live in Warwick under the Homes for Ukraine
scheme but are now registered as homeless or statutory homeless?

Further to your request, please see our response below:
1. This should be redirected to Warwickshire County Council as they are
dealing with the Homes for Ukraine team
2. Currently we have 0 Ukrainian Nationals who are registered as statutory
homeless
3. Warwick District Council currently have 3 families who are registered
as homeless
4. As with all homeless applications, a duty is accepted (either relief or
prevention) and a personalised housing plan and needs assessment is
completed by the Housing Options Officer to ensure the applicant knows
what options they have open to them. As long as the applicant is eligible
they will also be supported in joining the housing register (social
housing) and options will be discussed about financial support that could
be available to them in securing accommodation in the private sector, if
applicable.
