Dear Mole Valley District Council,

Could you tell me how many Tree Preservation Orders are currently administered by the Council?

Could you tell me the date when the oldest TPO currently still valid was served?

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mole Valley District Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Mole Valley District Council's handling of my FOI request 'Number of Tree Preservation Orders administered by the council'.

Thank you for your answer stating that a list of TPOs if available on the council website. I have indeed found this list and downloaded it as a .pdf document. Whilst it would be possible to count the list of TPOs and make adjustments for changes and double counting on this list it would be far easier for me to have this as an excel/spreadsheet file. Is it possible to obtain the information in a format that allows some form of automatic counting.

Alternatively, or if the information is not avaialble in the requested format, could the council answer my question - how many valid TPOs does the council adminster?

Yours faithfully,

Kent Tree Surveys

Dear Mr Heuch (Kent Tree Surveys)

Thank you for your request for an Internal Review into your request for
information relating to Tree Preservation Orders. I understand that you
wish to know the following, which I have considered under the
Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR) as the matter relates to
information concerning the environment:

Thank you for your answer stating that a list of TPOs if available on the
council website. I have indeed found this list and downloaded it as a .pdf
document. Whilst it would be possible to count the list of TPOs and make
adjustments for changes and double counting on this list it would be far
easier for me to have this as an excel/spreadsheet  file. Is it possible
to obtain the information in a format that allows some form of automatic
counting.

Alternatively, or if the information is not available in the requested
format, could the council answer my question - how many valid TPOs does
the council administer?

Having reviewed our original response and the records that we hold, I am
attaching an excel spreadsheet which provides the information in the
format you have requested. I can confirm that we have 923 TPOs in Mole
Valley.

I trust that this has resolved your enquiry. If you are not content with
the outcome of this internal review, you have the right to apply directly
to the Information Commissioner for a decision. The Information
Commissioner can be contacted at: Information Commissioner's Office,
Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF Or by calling 0303
123 1113 (local rate) Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

Yours sincerely
