Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18
June 2024 asking for information about our TVMs for the DLR.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can
confirm that we hold the information you require. You specifically asked
in relation to the Docklands Light Railway Limited (DLRL)
I am interested in gathering information regarding TVMs. Could you kindly
provide me with data about the following:
1- The number of TVM machines you have acquired since 2015. (for each year
until now)
2- The number of TVM machines in your possession since 2015. (for each
year until now)
Response:
1- The number of TVM machines you have acquired since 2015. (for each year
until now).
DLRL haven’t acquired any TVMs since 2015.
2- The number of TVM machines in your possession since 2015. (for each
year until now)
We currently have 114 TVMs active across the network, down from 146 at the
commencement of the Franchise.
This excludes West Ham, Canning Town & Bank, as the TVMs located at these
stations are managed by London Underground.
The numbers of active TVMs has reduced due to a few lesser-used machines
being withdrawn from service, and used for parts, enabling higher usage
TVMs to remain in service.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable
to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would
like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
