Number of staff & subcontractors & number of sites

Please tell me:
- the number of staff you employ directly
- the number of subcontractor staff employed on your behalf
- the number of sites where more than 50 of these staff are based (ignoring the fact that many may be remote working currently

Dear Mr McNamara

 

 

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request, which was received on
the 04/05/2021. Your request is currently being considered. As required by
the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Isle of Wight Council will
respond to you as soon as possible and no later than 20 working days after
the receipt of your request.

 

Under the Act, there is a limit for responding to requests where they
exceed the Appropriate Fee Limit as set out in the Freedom of Information
and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulation 2004. The fee
limit is set down by the Lord Chancellor and is £450 which equates to a
maximum of 18 hours of search and retrieval time. 

 

Should your request fall into this category, we will notify you as soon as
possible, to discuss any options available to you.

o the number of staff you employ directly – Headcount = 1666 (Perm/temp
contracts only excl. casuals, schools, agency staff). This is a
headcount figure so only includes an employee once if they have
multiple contracts.
o the number of subcontractor staff employed on your behalf = Agency/Non
Payroll staff = 248
o the number of sites where more than 50 of these staff are based
(ignoring the fact that many may be remote working currently Thank you
for taking the time to deal with my request. = 8 sites (excluding
schools)
