Number of Roadworks 2021-2022

We're waiting for Jamie Dixon to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Argyll and Bute Council,

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the number of street works and road works carried out by both the council and third parties such as utility companies for the 2021/22 financial year.
If possible, I would also like to know the cost to the council for the applicable works carried out.

I refer to your request for information which was dealt with in terms of
the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (EIRs). Please
accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your request.

 

Please see below information in fulfilment of your request.

 

The number of street works carried out by the Council in 2021/22 was 533.
We are unable to provide data relating to third parties and your request
for this information is refused under Regulation 6(1)(b) of the EIRs on
the basis that the information is otherwise accessible to you via the
Scottish Road Works register at

The Council’s expenditure on road and street works during the financial
year 2021/22 was:

Capital Works          £10,210,814.09

Revenue Works      £1,702,525

If you are dissatisfied with the way in which your request for information
has been dealt with you are entitled to request a review by writing to the
Executive Director Customer Services, Argyll and Bute Council, Kilmory,

Your request for review must state your name and address for
correspondence, specify the request for information to which your request
