Number of requests to use High Court Enforcement in Housing Possession cases

Chris Daniel made this Freedom of Information request to Ministry of Justice

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

We're waiting for Chris Daniel to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Ministry of Justice,

Please can you give me figures over the last three years for the number of requests to transfer execution of Possession orders in the County court for housing, to High Court Enforcement Officers.
and,
How many were granted.
( That would include paper requests prior to the hearing, and verbally to the judge upon Possession being awarded. )

Reasons for refusal would also be appreciated, with number of cases / percentages by reason.

Yours faithfully,

Chris Daniel

Dear Mr Daniel,

Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with specific guidance on how to revise your request so that it would fall into the cost limit of the FOI scheme. All we can say is that, as per the response, you may wish to consider specifying a narrower period of time, or reducing the number of cases you want to consider.

Regards

Civil & Family Team
