Dear Sir /Madam
FOI 30961
Thank you for contacting Buckinghamshire Council and your request for
information below regarding the number of rejections for grammar schools.
Request
Can I know how many applicants declined the offer for ALL the 13 Grammar
Schools for all the rounds separately until l Oct 2021.
This request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
We can confirm that Buckinghamshire Council does hold information falling
within the description specified in your request.
Please refer to our response attached and below.
The Council considers a ‘fewer than five’ response to be appropriate in
this case. A more accurate number or response to the questions asked,
would potentially release personal information where individuals could be
identified, either from this information alone, or a combination of this
information and other information otherwise available to the public.
Section 40(2) provides an exemption from disclosure for information that
is (a) the personal data of an individual other than the requester and (b)
where disclosure would breach any of the data protection principles in
Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In this case disclosure of a more specific response to the questions asked
would be unfair to the individuals concerned.
If you have any queries about this response, please contact us. Please
remember to quote the reference number provided in the subject line of
this email in any future communications.
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision,
