September 2019 and further email received on 26^th September 2019
requesting information about:
 
I would like to know how many public recycling bins there are in the area,
broken down by the type of waste they accept, and separately, the number
of publicly accessible general waste bins.
Further to my request, in addition to the number of bins, please can I
also have the number of sites they are located at? E.g., if there are two
bins both next to each other, this would be one site, but two bins.
 
I will deal with this part of your request under s. 1 (3) of the FOIA.
 
“Where a public authority-
 
a.      reasonable requires further information in order to identify and
locate the information requested, and
b.      has informed the applicant of that requirement
 
You have described the information you seek, but the description is not
sufficient to enable the Authority to locate the correct details.
 
The Authority informs you that it requires further information, under s 1.
(3) (a) of the FOIA.
 
Could you clarify the following information:
 
Do you mean public litter bins on the street?
 
 
The 20 working days will not continue from  30th September 2019 until the
Authority has been supplied with further information. Should the Council
not receive a response to this email by 11th October 2019, your request
will be closed accordingly.

Further to the acknowledgement below, I can respond to your FOI request
received on 23rd September 2019 as follows:
 
I would like to know how many public recycling bins there are in the area,
broken down by the type of waste they accept, and separately, the number
of publicly accessible general waste bins.
 
We have;
995 General waste bins
183 Dog waste bins
133 compartmentalised bins
55 recycling bins
 
The compartmentalised bins and recycling bins are for mixed recycling;
Paper, card, glass plastic and metal.
 
Further to my request, in addition to the number of bins, please can I 
also have the number of sites they are located at? E.g., if there are two 
bins both next to each other, this would be one site, but two bins.
 
This is not information that we hold. Without quantifying it though I can
confirm that the vast majority are on their own.
 
If you disagree with any part of the response to your request, you are
entitled to ask the Council for an internal review of the decision(s)
made.  You may do this by writing to the Monitoring Officer, by either
email – [1][email address] – or by post to Monitoring Officer,
Oxford City Council, St Aldate’s Chambers, St Aldate’s, Oxford, OX1 1DS. 
After the result of the internal review, if you remain dissatisfied, you
