Environmental Information Regulations 2004

Thank you for your information request received on 08/04/2024. This
request is being handled under the Environmental Information Regulations
2004.

You requested the following information:

 1. The number of potholes reported in 2023

 

Financial Year 2023/24 - 4,804  (3,304 via customer report and 1,500 via
scheduled cyclic inspection)

 

 2. The number of potholes repaired in 2023

 

Financial Year 2023/24 - 5,761 total carriageway repairs. 1,984
carriageway repairs undertaken via reactive maintenance &  3,777  via our
carriageway injection patching program, where repairs are done on a “find
and fix “ basis. The injection patching program is partly a preventative
maintenance measure, so repairs are carried out on defects which may not
exceed the threshold applied to those considered under safety inspections
( i.e. inspections as a result of customer reports or cyclic inspections)
