Number of playgrounds, MUGAs and outdoor fitness areas

The Association of Play Industries (API) campaigns for policy recognition of the value of play. Previous years’ FOI requests have revealed an alarming decline in the number of public play spaces. We are lobbying Government for increased funding for public playgrounds, MUGAs and outdoor fitness areas. Please can you provide the following information:

How many playgrounds were there in your authority area during the financial year 2019/20?

How many playgrounds do you expect to have in your authority area in the financial year 2021/22?

May I suggest that you direct your enquiry to Chichester District Council ? The other 66 Parishes in Chichester District may well have play areas and equipment, their contact details re on the CDC website - unless, of course, you have written to them direct.
