Dear Rob Heale,

Thank you for your recent request for information under the Freedom of
Information (FOI) Act 2000.

We are now in a position to respond to your request.

Your request:

I am making a request under the Freedom Of Information Act  to obtain the
number of people in BRIGHTON AND HOVE who are on the N.H.S. Waiting List
for:-

1. Operations.

2. Procedures.

3. The TOTAL number of people on the N.H.S. Waiting Lists in Brighton and
Hove.

Our response:

Under Section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the Trust
can confirm that it does not hold the information requested.

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust was formed on 1 April
2021, with the merger of Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS
Trust and Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Whilst we can report on the number of patients on University Hospitals
Sussex NHS Foundation Trust’s waiting lists, we do not hold data relevant
to the whole of Brighton and Hove.  Such information is likely to be held
by NHS Sussex (formerly NHS Brighton and HOVE Clinical Commissioning
Group), therefore you will need to contact them directly for the
information you are seeking.

As of 1 July 2022, the three Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in
Sussex have closed and the functions of the CCGs have transferred to NHS
Sussex - a new NHS organisation, known as an Integrated Care Board.  This
new organisation will help improve the way the NHS plan and pay for local
services, and better support local health and care organisations to give
people the care they need.  NHS Sussex forms part of Sussex Health and
Care, our new Integrated Care System.

The new Sussex Health and Care Integrated Care System website can be found
here - [1]https://www.sussex.ics.nhs.uk/

Freedom of Information (FOI) requests are managed by South, Central and
West (SCW) Commissioning Support Unit.  Requests should be made in writing
and directed to [2][email address]

If you still require information after contacting the South, Central and
West (SCW) Commissioning Support Unit, please do not hesitate to contact
us and we will be happy to assist you.
