Number of people on benefits

Department for Work and Pensions did not have the information requested.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
I am writing to request the information regarding how many people within the Worcestershire area receive (any form of) benefits.

My first question is ; How many people claim (any form of) benefits in the Worcestershire area?
I would like this information starting from January 2011- January 2017.

Secondly; Can I have a break down of what benefit has been claimed and by how many people? I would like this information provided within the past 6 years, from January 2011 - January 2017?
I.E.
The number of people claiming Housing benefit.
The number of people claiming child tax credits.
The number of people claiming Income support.
The number of people claiming Working Tax Credit.
The number of people claiming Job-seekers allowance.
The number of people claiming Income-related employment and support allowances.

Further more, I would like to request a further breakdown of the demographic of these claims.
How many of these claims are made by single people? (Men and women).
How many of these claims are made by single parents?
How many of these claims are made by families?
How many of these claims are made by the elderly (60 years old +)?

My last question is; - with the cross over from individual benefit to universal credit (UC), will the amount of money they receive from their current benefits be matched by UC or will it decrease/increased as a result of the bulk payment?

Yours faithfully,
Miss Rachael Turquand,
