Number of licences issued for the destruction of birds

The request was successful.

Dear Natural Resources Body for Wales,

Following reports that a number of red listed, and locally rare farmland birds are subject to permits for destruction, I would be grateful if you would supply me with the following information.

How many licences have been issued by NRW for the destruction of birds?
Which species have so far been included in the issue of such permits?
The reasons that have been given for the issuing of such permits.

My understanding is that the number is not significant, and therefore I do not anticipate any difficulty in getting this information.

Yours faithfully,

Charlie Falzon
