Number of licence revocations for Health and Care visa sponsors of care and senior care workers

We're waiting for Andrei Savitski to read recent responses and update the status.

Andrei Savitski

Dear Home Office,

Following on from FOI202406896, could you please provide me with the total number of sponsors under the Health and Care Worker visa route that have sponsored care workers (SOC 6145) and/or senior care workers (SOC 6146) AND have had their sponsor licence revoked, since Q1 2022. Please break down the results by year.

Could you also please record how many Certificates of Sponsorship were (cumulatively) affected by aforementioned licence revocations, also broken down by year.

In the event that you determine some of the information I have requested to be exempt from disclosure, please redact exempt information with black boxes, instead of snipping or excerpting, and please state which category of exemption you believe applies to the information.

Yours faithfully,

Andrei Savitski

Dear Home Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'Number of licence revocations for Health and Care visa sponsors of care and senior care workers'.

My request was refused because the processing cost "would exceed the appropriate limit of £600
specified in the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004." However, an analogous and, in fact, more detailed FOI request (FOI2024/06896) received a response with all requested data provided https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n.... Given that FOI2024/06896 did not exceed the appropriate limit of £600 and requested more data than FOI2025/03050, it does not appear reasonable that FOI2025/03050 would exceed the appropriate limit in question.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n...

Yours faithfully,

Andrei Savitski
