Number of LGBT individuals making a homeless application between 2018-2022

We're waiting for Oliver Murphy to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear FOI Team,

I write to request information on the number of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals who made a homeless application as legally homeless and/or being threatened with homelessness between January 2018 and April 2022.

As part of this request, I would like the information to be broken down into the following:

(i) The number of individuals making a homeless application while 'legally homeless' since 2018, broken down into sexual orientation (including transgender), per month, per year and grand total;

(ii) The number of individuals making a homeless application 'threatened with homelessness' since 2018, broken down into sexual orientation (including transgender), per month, per year and grand total;

(iii) The number of individuals supported into accommodation (temporary/emergency) since 2018, broken down into sexual orientation (including transgender), per month, per year and grand total;

(iv) The number of individuals owed a prevention and/or relief duty since 2018, broken down into sexual orientation (including transgender), per month, per year and grand total;

(v) The number of individuals to date, still waiting to be supported into accommodation, broken down by sexual orientation (including transgender).

(*Individuals defined as anyone between the ages of 16-80 years-old).

Your request, reference F0092, is being handled under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. 

 

We would like to seek some clarification on your request (Under Section
1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act), in order to ensure we provide the
correct information in a timely and efficient way .

 

You may already be aware of the local government restructure in
Northamptonshire as at 1^st April 2021 to create two new Unitary councils.
North Northamptonshire Council has now replaced Northamptonshire County
Council, Corby Borough Council, East Northamptonshire Council, Kettering
Borough Council and the Borough Council of Wellingborough.

 

As some of our council departments are still undergoing this transition,
we require you to state which of the following geographical area(s) you
require the information:-

 

Corby

East Northamptonshire

Kettering

Wellingborough

 

We are unable to take your Freedom of Information request any further
until we have received this clarification and the statutory 20-working day
time period for FOI requests will not commence until that point.

 

Your request will remain on hold for 20 working days.  If you have not
provided clarification within that time your request will be closed and,
should you subsequently require the information, you will need to resubmit
a new more specific request.

question, as the 4 previous districts / boroughs prior to the formation of
the new unitary council did not utilise a central reporting tool to
monitor temporary accommodation
