Number of Jobseekers forced to register with Universal jobmatch.

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please provide statistical information on the number of JSA and ESA claimants who have been forced to register an account with Universal Jobmatch (UJ) and/or Government Gateway (GG) by means of a jobseeker's direction (JSD), or any other means at the DWP's disposal, against the will of the jobseeker.

Also provide statistics on those jobseekers who are registered with UJ but have been forced, by JSD or other means, to create a profile and upload a CV to UJ against their will.

If these statistics are not available please explain why they are not kept. Also, lacking such information, is it the DWP's claim that no jobseekers have been forced to register with UJ or GG by the use of a JSD or contrarily is the DWP able to give an estimate for the number?

Yours faithfully,

Jason Davies
