Dear Mr McCoy,

Thank you for your recent FOIs concerning the below which are currently
receiving attention.

FOI 1287/21 - The number of items intercepted and/or seized by the force
in the post in the year 2020.

FOI 1303/21 - Please confirm: 1.     The number of items of mail in
transit seized by your force during 2020

However, in order to best respond I seek clarification on the following
point.

I note that you have submitted the above 2 FOIs, I would be grateful if
you could confirm if one is a duplicate of the other?

If not, I would be grateful if you could clarify what you mean by the term
‘mail in transit’ in FOI 1303/21? This will assist us in our searches.

I also need to add that pending receipt of this clarification I have
placed your requests on hold where they will remain for 20 working days
and that if nothing is received within this period I will assume that the
information is no longer required and close the FOIs down marked as
‘withdrawn’.

Kind Regards,

Maddie Binnie
