I write to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 requesting details on the number of incidents of abuse recorded by staff working on the A12 resurfacing scheme in Essex.
Would you be able to send over the total number of incidents of abuse recorded by National Highways staff who have been working on the A12 since the resurfacing scheme began in 2022.
Where possible, would you be able to provide information about the number of abuse incidents recorded each month.

the A12 resurfacing scheme in Essex.
Would you be able to send over the total number of incidents of abuse
recorded by National Highways staff who have been working on the A12 since

Unfortunately, your request is unclear and we will be unable to proceed
with your request without clarification of the specific information you
wish to receive.
To help us locate and identify this, please could you tell us which A12
scheme you are interested in. At present, we have two concrete
reconstruction schemes underway on the A12. The first is between junctions
25 (Marks Tey) and 26 (Eight Ash Green) and the second between junctions
13 (Trueloves Interchange) and 15 (Webbs Farm Interchange).
Please also define what you mean by the term abuse..
Please note that if we do not receive appropriate clarification of your
information requirements within two months from the date of this letter,
then we will consider your request closed.

To clarify, would you be able to let me know the data requested pertaining to each scheme (the J25-J26 scheme, and the J13-J15 scheme).
Abuse is defined as threatening words, or any words used aggressively by any road user towards a member of National Highways staff on the scheme.

Thank you for your response.
To clarify, would you be able to let me know the data requested pertaining
to each scheme (the J25-J26 scheme, and the J13-J15 scheme).
Abuse is defined as threatening words, or any words used aggressively by
any road user towards a member of National Highways staff on the scheme.
We can confirm that under [1]section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000, National Highways does not hold the information that you
requested.
Advice and Assistance
It is a sad indictment of today’s society that our staff and supply chain
personnel face verbal abuse almost daily while working hard keeping our
roads safe and serviceable. We do not keep records of verbal abuse. Other
aggressive behaviour may be recorded, and we may ask the police to
intervene where physical violence is threatened and/or the safety of staff
or the public are at risk.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may ask for an internal
review within 40 working days of receiving the response, by replying to
