Number of fake asylum applications from Albanians claiming to be from Kosovo

The request was refused by UK Border Agency.

Dear UK Border Agency,

Please provide information on the number of applications ,the UKBA and its forerunners, have discovered to have been made using deception from Albanians claiming to have been from Kosovo and who were actually from Albania. (Figures From 2007 to 2012)

Of those it was confirmed obtained asylum and UK passports via deception what penalties did they have to pay? eg prison, fine, deportation.

Background information on this was reported in the Evening Standard here: http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crackdown...

Yours faithfully,

A Petrovic

Home Office and UKBA hardly gives asylum to those who do not lie or hide their indentity.

I was arrested in Cardiff with a friend for illegal working both of us came from Nigeria, my friend lied he was from Liberia, he changed his name and his wife too,my friend told us to lie, I refused, I was sentenced to six imprisonment and my friend was sentenced to 12month imprisonment for working with a fake document.

My friedn and his family asylum was granted as Liberian and I was deported and got separated from my children back to Nigeria becuase I told them everything about me, In asylum those given are fake, serious criminals, and those who are ready not to disclosed anything about their background, I know several instances of people like that in UK who used fake nationalities to gain asylum. Ukba has though me a bitter life experience lesson that truth does not pay in asylum process.

So forget your question about those who used fake names and nationalities, you can be given asylum without been deceptive, I have lot of practical examples. Maybe you rather ask how many people have been given asylum based on truthful names and nationalities
