This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Her Majesty’s Courts and the Tribunals Service should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Her Majesty’s Courts and the Tribunals Service,

Please let me know how many cases were brought to courts in the UK by housing associations seeking an eviction and how many of these were successful.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Rutherford

Dear CAJS,

You say:

"This represents the estimated cost of one person spending 3.5 working days determining whether the
department holds the information.

This suggests to me that this department runs a database system which is non existent or incompetent. Have you not heard of any DBMS, possibly DBase 2, very popular in the 1980s, which you should be able to pick up secondhand and cheaply on Ebay and which would serve admirably. The task should then be completed in 30 - 60 seconds rather than 3.5 days.

In the meanwhile, please go with your useful suggestion, namely to go with successful evictions.

Thanks

Yours sincerely,

Peter Rutherford
