Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
I have today attended a ESA assessment provided by Maximus, during my one hour 15 minute wait it was apparent that most if not all people ( myself included ) attending the centre during this period were attending an appointment previously cancelled by Maximus. In some cases this was the third or fourth appointment for that person. People were also being encouraged to rebook their appointment due to the excessive waiting time.
I would like to ask:
How many ESA assessment appointments are cancelled by Maximus?
Do Maximus have any targets contained in their contract for waiting times?
Do Maximus have any targets contained in their contract for the amount of times they can cancel an appointment?
