Number of drivers arrested for using mobile phones while driving
Dear West Mercia Police,
Could you please supply me with some information regarding the number of drivers being arrested for using their mobiles while driving, the number of drivers being charged with using their mobiles and the number of drivers being convicted of using their mobiles while driving in the West Mercia Police region.
I would also like to know the number of drivers who were involved in RTAs (road traffic accidents) at the time of using their phones and within that stat whether it is possible to know how many of these RTAs involved a fatality.
If it were possible, could you supply me with figures of this between 2010 and 2016?
Yours faithfully,
Hamilton Lyndon-Griffiths
