Number of doctors claiming to be bullied/harrassed by Jeremy Hunt or Department of Health in the 2016 NTS

The request was successful.

Dear General Medical Council,

Please can you tell me how many doctors reported in their 2016 National Training Survey a concern regarding bullying/harassment by any one or more of Jeremy Hunt, NHS England, Bruce Keogh, or the Department of Health.

Please can state if there was any global decision to exclude these complaints from the reportings to deaneries for any reason.

Yours faithfully,

A Currens

Dear Mr Currens

Thank you for your email dated 12 August 2016 in which you request
information about the 2016 National Training Survey. Please find below
responses to each of your requests:

Please can you tell me how many doctors reported in their 2016 National
Training Survey a concern regarding bullying/harassment by any one or more
of Jeremy Hunt, NHS England, Bruce Keogh, or the Department of Health.

54,563 doctors completed the 2016 National Training Survey. Of this total,
381 mentioned concerns about bullying/harassment by any one or more of
Jeremy Hunt, NHS England, Bruce Keogh or the Department of Health.

Please state if there was any global decision to exclude these complaints
from the reportings to deaneries for any reason.

None were excluded, all free-text concerns raised by doctors in training
within the survey this year were shared with the relevant deanery/Local
Education and Training Board, regardless of the content of the comment.

I hope the above information is useful.

If I can be of any further assistance please let me know.

Kind regards

Louise
