Dear Department for Transport

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request data regarding the number of car accidents that were either caused by or were involving animals.

Can I please receive each total individually for the time period of 01/12/2019 - 01/01/2021
1. Total number of car accidents
2. Total number of car accidents caused by, or involving animals
2a) Where animals were involved, which animal was it? (eg. dog, cat, deer etc)

Please provide this as an Excel spreadsheet (or similar format), broken down by month (or year if month is not possible).

If you require any further clarification, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
