Dear S Brooke,

Our Ref: CQC IAT 1718 0762

I write in response to your correspondence of 01 February 2018 in which
you asked for the amount of complaints that CAMHS has received over the
past year and further back if possible.

Please find our response in the attached decision notice. We are sorry to
advise you that CQC are unable to provide the requested information
because we do not have any way of centrally reporting on CAMHS services.
We would have to conduct extensive manual searches of individual providers
to identify whether they offered CAMHS services and whether we hold any
complaints information relating to those services. This would exceed the
cost limit set out in the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and we
therefore consider it exempt under section 12.

The decision notice provides a more detailed explanation for withholding
this information. This explains why the information is exempt from
disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and your right
to challenge this decision.

CQC will always endeavour to provide high quality responses to requests
for information and seek to be as helpful as possible. We would therefore
appreciate if you can take some time to complete our online feedback form
by visiting the following link:

Any information you provide will be held securely and only used for the
purposes of improving the Information Rights service that CQC provides.
