As of 1 October 2012, Edinburgh’s Telford College, Jewel & Esk College and
Stevenson College merged to create a single college called Edinburgh
College.

 

We refer to your request for information dated 10 November 2019. The
College has considered your request as a request for information under
section 1 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“FOISA”).

 

038/19 (1): I would like to know the number of black applicants accepted
to study at the college and the number of applicants who are successful in
their application.

 

In response to our clarification email (11 November 2019), you confirmed
that you ‘would like to find out the number of BAME applicants and the
number of BAME applicants accepted’.

 

BAME = Black, Asian and minority ethnic

 

As advised in our clarification email, at application stage applicants are
asked to identify from a list provided by the Scottish Funding Council
(SFC).

 

Please find the number of applications received, offers made and offers
accepted in the table below (as recorded to date in Academic Year
2019/20).

 

Please note, ethnicity is a protected field and no College staff view /
