Dear Mich,
Reference: 23749 EIR
Thank you for your request for information received on 20 June 2024. This request
has been handled under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
Your request
Could you please advise on the number of ANPR cameras in East Oxford versus
North Oxford? Additionally, could you provide the number of LTNs in East Oxford
compared to North Oxford? Lastly, could you inform me about the number of bus
gates proposed for East Oxford versus North Oxford?
Our response
• Could you please advise on the number of ANPR cameras in East Oxford
versus North Oxford?
•
East Oxford – 7
•
North Oxford – 0
• Additionally, could you provide the number of LTNs in East Oxford compared
to North Oxford?
Three LTNs collectively comprise the east Oxford LTN:
•
Divinity Road,
•
St Clement's, and
•
St Mary's
East Oxford low traffic neighbourhoods (LTNs) | Oxfordshire County
Council
These LTNs were made permanent in October 2023 after an 18-month
trial period.
‘Low Traffic Neighbourhood’ is a relatively new term used to describe
measures to reduce the amount of through traffic using residential
streets. There are measures in north Oxford which were implemented
long before the term LTN was adopted. Oxfordshire County Council does
not hold information on the number of such interventions in north
Oxford.
• Lastly, could you inform me about the number of bus gates proposed for East
Oxford versus North Oxford?
No bus gates are proposed in either area.
