If yes to the above question, how many living animals are currently held on the premises for research purposes?

How many living animals were used in experiments between 01/01/2011 and 01/01/2012?

What was the nature and outcome of these experiments?

What species of animal were used?

Which departments of your university were or are engaged in such research?

Further to your recent request for information I am writing to confirm that the University does not carry out any research involving living animals on its premises. Experimentation on animals is strictly controlled by the Home Office and can only be conducted by licensees in accordance with the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act of 1986; the University does not hold the requisite licences.
