Dear Mr Helsink,

I respond to your request of 30th November 2019.

The college interprets your request as relating to the 19/20 admissions round currently underway.

The college is concerned that release of the information now may hinder the smooth running of the current admissions process but is entirely content to release the information, within the constraints of the requirements of section 40 (personal information), once the interview round has been completed and offers have been issued in January 2020.

Accordingly the information is intended for future publication under section 22 and exempt until a future date. In stating this we have considered the public interest test.

Additionally we consider our commercial interests are served by ensuring the smooth running of the current interview round in not releasing the information at this stage such that section 43 is engaged to exempt the information. This is a temporary matter and will not prevent our releasing the information in 2020.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of this decision, you should write to the Senior Bursar, Gonville & Caius College, Trinity Street, Cambridge, CB2 1TA 0DF who will then assign an appropriate person to conduct the internal review. If subsequently you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the Information Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints procedure provided by the College. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: The Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely,

Robert Gardiner
