Dear Department for Education,

What information does DfE hold on the number and cost of criminal records bureau checks on school governors in England (or England and Wales)?

During the last five years, how many governors have been disqualified or have resigned as a consequence of an adverse CRB check?

Yours faithfully,

Given that we know that the DfE doesn't know how many governors there are in England, I sincerely doubt they have a figure for the number CRB checked, disqualified as a result of CRB checks
