Dear Lambeth Council,
Thank you for your response dated 24 November 2023.
As we understand your response, Lambeth Council do not have a seperate written contract with the provider NowMedical. Your response reads that all information about the terms and conditions on which the council instruct NowMedical is publicly available on NowMedical's website.
For homelessness vulnerability assessments, that would therefore be as follows:
"We provide a report with reasons within one working day:
By UK-registered doctors and psychiatrists specialising in housing medical assessment
With reference to relevant legislation and case law, including Johnson/Hotak
Precise assessments of housing needs
Send us cases using our secure case portal or alternatively by email, courier, or direct access to your system.
Cost
£40 per case plus VAT
For full advice with reasons in an individual report – 1-day response
or:
£80 per case plus VAT
For advice from our psychiatrists – 5-day response"
(Source: https://www.nowmedical.co.uk/vulnerability)
Please confirm that there are no further terms and conditions or agreements between the council and NowMedical when they are instructed for a homelesness vulnerability assessment beyond the above. If this is not the case, please urgently clarify the council's position.
Yours sincerely,
Philip Armitage
