NOT PROTECTIVELY MARKED
Dear Ms Asher

Our records indicate that there are two FOI requests where we are still assessing the public interest test. FOI case 19338 has been extended to 7 Oct and FOI case 19305 has been extended to 3 Oct. Letters confirming the extensions were sent to the 'what do they know' email address - I have attached both copies for your reference.

I apologise for the length of time it is taking to respond to your FOI requests and assure you that a substantive response will be sent within the deadlines above. I would also advise you to contact the administrator at the What Do They Know Website if you are concerned that messages are not being relayed to you, as this has been a frequent occurrence in the past.

Regards

J Fanshaw

The British Government can Huff and Bluff all they like, but they can not use the FOIA to cover-up their wrongdoing and their dirty deeds. They need to STOP protecting IRA terrorists, to stop telling lies.

Dear OSCTFOI,

I am not at all happy with the delay in this matter. The information which I requested should be released as a matter of course, it relates to public money and the Home Office can not contine to delay and drag their feet. The Home Office, HMG and others are involved in a cover-up.

Please now deal with this my request.

Yours sincerely,

Jo Asher

Dear Home Office,

I have checked our records and I am unable to locate your previous correspondence. I would therefore be very grateful if you could send a copy of the correspondence to which you request a response and we will arrange for a reply to be sent to you.

I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Dear Hulya Ahmet,

In your reply to me dated 17th November 2011 you say that, “I have checked our records and I am unable to locate your previous correspondence. I would therefore be very grateful if you could send a copy of the correspondence to which you request a response and we will arrange for a reply to be sent to you.” This is shocking. If you would go to following link; http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/no...
You will see that I first wrote to the Home Office about this matter on 8th July 2011. You will also see that a person claiming to be ‘J Fanshaw’ ( http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/79... ) has been corresponding with me.

Can you tell me what is going on?

Yours faithfully,

Jo Asher

Dear FOI Responses,

You will be aware that my request was for; "How many times have Northumbria Police requested or received
emergency and/or additional funding, grants or any other
payments/funding from above parties during the past 12 years." 12 years from my July 2011 request.

However, you have only supplied information for the past few years. Can you please deal with my request correctly. Please also include emergency and/or additional funding, grants or any other
payments/funding made to Northumbria Police by Home Office, HMG concerning the Martin McGartland attempted murder case.

Yours sincerely,

Jo Asher

This request has been the subject of a decision notice by the ICO:
http://www.ico.gov.uk/~/media/documents/...

The decision notice states that

"In the circumstances of this case the Home Office did not receive the complainant’s request of 8 July 2011 until 22 November 2011"

Our email logs show that the request was delivered successfully to the advertised email servers soon after the request was originally sent on 8 July 2011.

The ICO has not contacted WhatDoTheyKnow about this request and therefore appears to have accepted the Home Office's claims not to have received the request without any further investigation.
