Dear DoH Regional Health Services & Transformation Directorate,

Dear Department of Health
You stated that my repeated request for information are substantially identical or similar enough to be "vexatious".
For this freedom of information request, can I state that this relates to providing information since September 2023 that is in addition to the information that I have received already.
This should not be considered substantially identical or similar.

To call me vexatious is I feel completely unjust.
If the department of health would answer openly honestly and duty of canor in the first instance I would not have to spend so many hours attempting to retrieve information

When contacted in 2023 with the threat of “vexatious” I did respond then, and I do feel appropriately so, that I had the right to feel "vexed" as the Department of Health has not made straight forward responses- therefore at times there have had to be many clarifications required before actually the information requested- I think that is not my fault.

I submit freedom of information requests not to browbeat any of the department of health but to gather information which is essential as there are issues of patient safety outcomes and potentially patient avoidable deaths.

Forbidding my asking for further information on topics, perhaps over a year old is not appropriate or in my opinion reasonable.

As the department of health you do have a duty to provide equal access to healthcare for all of Northern Ireland I am simply asking for clarification on areas depleted.

During a time of public investigations into neurology, urology, Hyponatremia... surely the duty of open full disclosure of information should be paramount.
Especially so when i am a disabled, voluntary local interest individual wishing to help you and other arms length bodies to realise issues of public interest.

Yours sincerely,

helen hamill

Dear DoH Regional Health Services & Transformation Directorate,

It appears there has been some kind of a technical issue with the platform that I used to log my freedom of information requests on.
It seems to have created multiple requests related to DOH 2024-0226.

This may be what is prompting you to think that I am making a number of similar requests. This was not intentional. It’s some kind of a blip or glitch in the system.
Can I request that you just reply to my internal review request that I raised this afternoon.
This should confirm – as I believe – that the information that I am requesting is purely an update since September 2023 of information that I have received previously and is not "vexacious".

Yours sincerely,

helen hamill

Dear DoH Regional Health Services & Transformation Directorate,

Could I please have an acknowledgement and response to my request as above?
Thanks very much
Helen

My requests are written in many occasions necessitated by the lack of information shared with me in the responses.

The frustration in waiting for several months at a time for small disclosure amounts - forcing further exploration.
When eventually having had no choice but to make these requests because they are in the public interest, In fact, potentially in areas of Avoidable Deaths.
To have the “vexatious “ Terminology applied rather than answering questions in my opinion is shocking.

A lot to be learned about openness and transparency it seems

this has been refused.
ICO is now informed.

Dear Walsh, Janine,
Janine, my request is on a regional service . It ia about patient outcomes and essentially survival.
WHY are what I assume should be current documents in format as pdfs refused?
Thanks
Helen
