The request was successful.

Dear Natural England,

Please could you release, via this What Do They Know request, any information you hold relating to the decisions by North Somerset Council to a) cease their funding to Bristol City Council's Environmental Records Centre and b) fund environmental records management activity by the Forest of Avon Trust.

Dear Juliet,

Many thanks for your reply.

I have one follow-up question. In your third paragraph you stated that the records centre is an independent organisation, not a part of Bristol City Council.

However, the city council was asked about the status of the records centre in the following WDTK request:

http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/co...

and their response is the opposite.

Could you let me know whether you hold any information which contradicts the city council's position on this matter, or if not, then confirm that you agree with the latter and that your earlier response was incorrect on this point?

Yours sincerely,

Susan Davis

Dear Juliet,

I do nto appear to have received a reply to my follow-up question sent on 5 December. Could you let me know how you are getting on with looking into this?

Many thanks,

Susan

Dear Ms Davis

Many thanks for your e-mail, and I do apologise for the delay in responding to your follow-up question.

I have looked into the matter and it does indeed seem as though the information we gave you regarding the status of the Record Centre was incorrect and it is in fact part of Bristol City Council.

Once again, I apologise for the delay in my response.

Kind regards,

Juliet.
