Non Traditional Housing Stock

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Birmingham City Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Birmingham City Council,
Dear Hounslow Borough Council,
I’m currently in the process of compiling a nationwide list of all local authority held, non-traditional residential housing stock in the UK.
Non-traditional constructions include properties constructed using methods other than traditional brick and may include, steel framed, timber framed, precast concrete and PRC constructed properties, also referred to as system built properties.

Could you please provide a list providing details of your Non Traditional housing stock in the form of construction type and the location of each property?

To assist this search, I have been made aware that the required information is often stored as part of a Councils Non-Traditional Housing stock list or register.

To further assist clarification of my request, I have provided typical response example links below:

Dear Birmingham City Council,

I find your response to be incorrect and therefore request an internal review to this response.

As a council, you are required to hold concise details of your housing stock, which would include, where known, the construction type and location address.

You have stated that you do not hold this information, however I draw your attention to previous B.C.C published data from 2015 which although now outdated, contains the data required to satisfy my request.

An acceptable response would have been to provide an up to date version of the data set as provided in the link provided.

Please review your response and reply accordingly, otherwise I shall have no option but to take further action.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Marc Buck
