non-residential noise complaints

Alex Eastwood made this Freedom of Information request to Scottish Borders Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

To whom it may concern,

I am looking to source figures on noise complaints relating to non-residential and commercial premises through the Freedom of Information Act and I hope you may be able to answer the following questions for me:

1. How many complaints has the relevant department in your council received regarding noise disturbance from non-residential/commercial premises in the last 12 months?

2. How many noise abatement notices has the council issued in the last 12 months as a result of complaints of disturbance from non-residential/commercial premises?

3. In how many instances in the last 12 months has the council been granted an order to remove equipment from non-residential/commercial premises as a result of complaints regarding noise disturbance?

If you could provide the information requested via return email it would be greatly appreciated.

Alex
