Peterborough City Council is responsible for collecting a levy from
businesses to pay for Peterborough Positive BID.
Please provide the following information:
1. How many businesses are responsible for paying a levy for Peterborough
Positive BID?
432 in year 1 (2022/23) and 405 in year 2 (2023/24)
2. How many businesses have failed to pay the levy since the formation of
"Peterborough Positive BID?
40 in year 1 (2022/23) and 142* in year 2 (2023/24)
*Please note, this figure is constantly changing as payments are made
during the current year
Non-payment of the BID levy may result in recovery action being undertaken
against the business, including the obtaining of a liability order at the
magistrates’ court and referral to enforcement agents.
3. How many summonses have been issued to businesses for non-payment of
the levy since the formation of Peterborough Positive BID?
