Non-individual owned private empty properties

John Radcliffe made this Freedom of Information request to Lewisham Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Lewisham Borough Council,

Please can you provide me with the following information under the Freedom Of Information Act 2000:-

(a) addresses of empty residential properties that are within the borough

(b) the names of the owners of those properties referred to in

If the council can only release information on "non-individually owned property" I would like that.

If the council will not release this information, I would like the names of all "non individuals" (business, charities, trusts etc), but excluding housing associations and the council, that own long term empty property in the borough, without addresses.

Yours faithfully,

John Radcliffe

Dear Lewisham Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Lewisham Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Non-individual owned private empty properties'.

I asked the council if they were unable to supply the information to supply the
names of all "non individuals" (business, charities, trusts etc), but excluding housing associations and the council, that own long term empty property in the borough, without property addresses.

This information does not breach any security or put the properties at risk as the council are simply supplying a list of companies with empty property.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n...

Yours faithfully,

John Radcliffe

With regard to this part of your request, we uphold our decision to apply
the above exemptions.

the borough, without addresses.

With regard to this part of your request, we attach a spreadsheet
containing the current owners of empty properties. These are owned by
business, charities, trusts etc., but excluding housing associations and
the council.

We trust that this satisfies your request and apologies for any
inconvenience caused.
