Non-academic recruitment policy
Dear University of Glasgow,
The university is currently advertising 5 permanent posts on an external recruitment consultancy website at www.edenscott.com/universityofglasgow
These posts are:
Deputy Director: UK Recruitment and Widening Participation
£46,696 to £52,556
Deputy Director: International Affairs
£46,696 to £52,556
Deputy Head of International Recruitment
£46,696 to £52,556
International Events Manager
£39,107 to £45,336
Deputy Director - Recruitment Marketing
£46,696 to £52,556
I have two questions.
1. Why are these posts not being advertised on the university's own vacancies website?
2. Given the perilous state of finances that was reported in 2010 followed by a round of redundancies in 2011, how can so many similar executive posts possibly be justified?
Yours faithfully,
Rob

It is tremendously sad that regular staff are now considered little more than a cost to be reduced in favour of this new income generating executive elite. Sign of the times, thank-you.

Please disregard my first question as I note that the posts are now advertised on the website rather in
http://www22.i-grasp.com/fe/tpl_glasgow0...
Thanks.
