I was hoping to obtain some information in relation to recruitment for non academic posts at University of South Wales. Please find questions below:

1. How many non academic vacancies were there in FY 22/23?
How many vacancies were filled during this period?
What percentage was Perm or Fixed term and how many were Temp/Contract?

2. Which recruitment agencies do University SW engage with?
How much spend has there been with Agencies?
Which Divisions/directorates use recruitment agencies? And which ones?

3. What is the recruitment and resourcing plan for 23/24 at University of South Wales?
Are there any plans to increase headcounts? If so in which Division?

4. Please provide an organisational structure/chart for non academic departments? Along with the names of Heads of Departments?

Thank you for your email. However in order for us to process your request for information please provide the following clarification:
- in line with section 8 of the FOIA (2000) please confirm your last name
- in question 1, below, you ask for figures in respect of the FY 22/23, however as that financial year has not reached its end date together with the fact that staff numbers fluctuate throughout any given timeline, are you content for the University to apply the 08/06/2023 for the extraction of any such data? If not please supply the date you would like the University to use.
- in questions 2 and 3 you use the term 'Divisions', does this refer to Faculties and/or Departments or are you applying another criteria to this term?

Hi Catherine,

Sorry didn't realise I needed to post my last name, it is Barnes.

Yes information up to 8/6/23 would be absolutely fine thank you.

I was meant to say departments not the schools specifically, more on the corporate side rather than academic side so example would be: IT Department, HR Department, Marketing Department, Procurement Department, HR Department, Facilities Department, Administration Department. Hope this clarifies.
