Noise Complaints

- The total number of complaints about noise that could be a ‘statutory nuisance’ under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, made during the 2021 calendar year
- The reason for each of the above complaints, for example noise from intruder alarms, noise from construction work etc

I refer to your recent request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. I can confirm that the Council does hold this
information, as detailed below.
Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the
following information:
- The total number of complaints about noise that could be a ‘statutory
nuisance’ under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, made during the
2021 calendar year

Noise birds = 10
Noise DIY = 14
Noise music/parties = 190
Noise TV = 13
Noise vehicles = 40
Noise commercial = 195
Noise industrial = 41
Noise domestic = 244
Noise dog = 212
Noise construction = 17
Noise street = 10
Noise premises Alarms = 10
Noise other = 20
This information has been provided in response to a Freedom of Information
request and this must be acknowledged in any subsequent use of the
information. In addition, the authority must be notified of any proposed
re-use of this information for commercial or other purposes.
I hope this is satisfactory. If, however, you are dissatisfied with our

be reviewed in reply to this letter, however any request for review must
