"No One Wants Kids Mixing with Criminals"

The request was partially successful.

Dear Home Office,

John Carr, director of the company NetIDMe, has variously acted as an advisor to the Police, Home Office, and Government on matters including online identification.

His company, NetIDMe/SC269495 (which specialises in online identification technology), recently failed to submit an Annual Return ("Next Return Due: 16/07/2014 OVERDUE").

According to companies House;
"It is a *criminal offence* not to deliver the company's annual return within 28 days of the made-up date, for which Companies House may prosecute the company and its officers".

The company were recently placed into *compulsory liquidation*, after Mr Carr failed to convert his theory of online identification into a commercial reality, and apparently failed to cease trading voluntarily. The consequences of compulsory insolvency for directors can include personal liability for company debts, and disqualification.

Please could you disclose to me then,

1. Does John Carr remain an advisor in any capacity to the Home Office?
2. If so, on what topics?
3. Any correspondence between the Home Office and John Carr or NetIDMe since 16/07/2014

Yours faithfully,
P John.

PS The title of this FoI request was taken from text on Mr Carr's blog, for irony sake.

Dear FOI Requests,

Thank you for your response to my FoI request dated 16 October 2014, however one of the attached items disclosed appears to be corrupt.

"P John CR32841 Email dated 7 August 2014.pdf"

... has zero length, and so fails to display correctly.

Please could you resend this item?

While writing, I think it is extraordinary that the Home Office should still be employing the services of Mr Carr.

Yours sincerely,

P. John
