Dear Wasif

I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information request dated 3^rd
April 2019 in which you requested information regarding our Law (M100)
course.

For ease of reference, I have reproduced your question below and set out
our corresponding response.

Will it be possible to provide the total number of offerees who got in
with BBB and who failed to get in with BBB, in Law (M100) for the 2017-18
admission cycle? For example, Total no. of offerees who achieved BBB - 50
students Who got accepted - 36 students Who got rejected - 14 students

We have set out our response on the attached document. Please note the
University will accept applications from prospective students who are
studying equivalent qualifications to ‘A’ levels such as the Scottish
Higher and the International Baccalaureate. We have therefore provided
data for all applicants with the equivalent UCAS tariff points to three
‘B’s” at A’ level. We cannot provide the information which will isolate
those with just 3 Bs at A Level. You can find further information on UCAS
Tariff points here:
[1]https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/what-...

The numbers of Offers Made and Rejects on the attached document will not
equal the total number of Applications, as some applicants were unable to
fulfil the condition of their initial offer and were subsequently
rejected. For example a student may have achieved the necessary tariff
points for entry with their overall grades but one of the conditions may
have been achieving a specific grade in a certain subject.

I trust this information satisfies your enquiry.  The University has a
Freedom of Information Complaints Procedure should you feel dissatisfied
with this response or the way in which your request was handled.
Complaints must be made in writing and must set out why you believe the
University has not met its obligations under the Freedom of Information
Act.  You may email your complaint to [2][email address] where
it will be forwarded to the Director of Strategic Planning and Governance
who will be responsible for overseeing the review.

If you remain dissatisfied following the outcome of your complaint, you
have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for
consideration.  The Information Commissioner can be contacted at the
following address: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House,
Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in
Cardiff University. If you require further assistance please feel free to
contact me.

Yours sincerely
