No Deal Brexit Planning
Dear Isle of Wight Council,
Private Eye recently reported that, in event of a No Deal Brexit, thousands of local government officials will be reallocated to Whitehall departments, with some army or territorial army assistance needed to cover staff shortages.
1) Is this the case on the Isle of Wight? If so, approximately or exactly how many of your workers will go to Whitehall?
2) On the Isle of Wight, approximately or exactly how many army staff or volunteers do you expect to need to cover work in their absence?
3)Can you please confirm- firstly, whether you hold any relevant information on this? Secondly if you can disclose *any or all* of the information, please do so.
Yours faithfully,
Alexandra Varley-Winter
