In response to your request for details on NNDR business rates
information.
The information you have requested is exempt from disclosure under section
21 of the FOI Act as the Council now publishes current NNDR (business
rate) data as quarterly .csv datasets.
The datasets are published as part of the extended provisions added to
Section 11 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 pursuant to Section 22
of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.
The NNDR datasets can be found from the FOI homepage and then navigate to
the datasets homepage and then the NNDR homepage
[1]http://www.northampton.gov.uk/foi
[2]http://www.northampton.gov.uk/homepage/4...
Please check these pages in future before making an FOI request as it is
likely these pages will answer the majority of your requests on this
subject going forward.
This information is freely available for reuse under the open government
reuse licence, a copy of which is available at
[3]http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/o...
Each dataset will be published by the 20th day of the month after the
quarter end. Should the Council decide in the future that more frequent
publication would extend the public transparency agenda then it will
publish the data publicly for all to access and not provide a response to
individual requests. However, to date there has been no strong argument
to warrant a review of the current practice as the database does not
change sufficiently to justify the additional time and resource required
to publish more frequently. The Council will however review this position
if valid public interest rather than commercial interest arguments to
justify more frequent publication are presented.
Requests for historic NNDR data is only considered for release in .pdf
format. Each dataset will initially remain available for 2 years before
being archived as a .pdf document.
Please be advised that quarter 3 data for 2018/19 is within quarter 2 data
for this year. This formatting problem is being resolved currently.
Additionally quarter 4 should be published in the next week.
Kind Regards
Stephanie Everitt | Information Governance Officer
