NNDC Food Registration

We're waiting for Lynne Sewell to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear North Norfolk District Council,

In respect to NNDC's food registration system, please could you provide me with the following information: -

1. How many mobile food businesses are registered with NNDC as at 30.12.22?
2. Does NNDC request the trading details* for all mobile food business?
[*Trading details are defined as NNDC requesting details from mobile businesses on the parish in which their trading takes place including the specific trading pitch within that parish
Further, if the mobile business operates from multiple locations/parishes in NNDC area - the trading details of all locations the mobile food business trades from].
3. In 2022, how many mobile food businesses did NNDC request trading details from?
4. If NNDC collect trading details from one or all mobile businesses - under what legal basis does it process and store this information?

Yours faithfully,
Lynne Sewell

Dear Ms Read

Thank you for the response. I am a bit confused, have I understood this correctly?

Does NNDC require the trading details of all vendors and information on their pitches, 12 months in advance of the registration period and that would include all private parties?

Yours sincerely,

Lynne Sewell

Dear Ms Sewell

Further to your email of 11 January 2023, I am able to advise that we do not require information in advance for all trading places. We log on our system where the mobile usually trades if known.

* Some have standard locations/pitches they trade in every day or specific days of the week - e.g. layby, Holt Road, Cromer. If for specific days then the days for each are also logged.

* If someone doesn't have a regular pitch because they primarily attend fairs, festivals or private functions then they just need to say this to us and we log 'various locations throughout NNDC district' as the response.

I do hope that this has provided the clarification you required. Please do not hesitate to contact me should this not be the case.

Yours sincerely
