Nipple Tattoo Request
Dear Public Health Scotland,
I’m looking for information about Nipple and Areola Complex tattoos that are offered to breast cancer patients following mastectomy surgery.
The specific information I’m looking for is as follows;
1. What training requirements will a potential practitioner have to endure before they are considered qualified and capable of providing Nipple or areola tattoos for patients who have lost their Nipple or Areola Complex(NAC).
2. What is the individual cost to the NHS per unilateral nipple Tattoo.
3. What is the individual cost to the NHS per bilateral nipple Tattoos.
5. How many nipple tattoos were performed in total in 2019 and In 2020.
I appreciate there are additional strains now due to the pandemic so I'm happy to wait longer for responses. This data is important though, therefore I won't be withdrawing any requests at this time. Thanks in advance for the help.
Yours faithfully,
Lucy Thompson
