Nipple and Areola Complex Tattoos following Mastectomy Surgery

Public Health England did not have the information requested.

Dear Public Health England,

I’m looking for information about Nipple and Areola Complex tattoos that are offered to breast cancer patients following mastectomy surgery.

The specific information I’m looking for is as follows;

1. What training requirements will a potential practitioner have to endure
before they are considered qualified and capable of providing Nipple or areola tattoos for patients who have lost their Nipple or Areola Complex
(NAC).

2. What is the individual cost to the NHS per unilateral nipple Tattoo.

3. What is the individual cost to the NHS per bilateral nipple Tattoos.

4. How many additional Nipple tattoos are available to each patient, once their tattoo fades.

5. How many nipple tattoos were performed in total throughout England in 2019 and In 2020.

Many thanks,

Yours faithfully,

Lucy Thompson
