Nightingale hospital: Patient numbers and spend with consultants
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I would like to receive information regarding spending and patient numbers for the Nightingale hospital that this health trust manages.
Specifically I would like to know:
1) How much was spent with consultancy firms (such as KPMG, Deloitte or any other consultancy firm) for work on the Nightingale hospital. Please break down the data by firm and spend, i.e. KMPG: £1million, Deloitte: £1million, etc
2) Please provide a brief description of the work these consultancy firms carried out on the Nightingale hospital.
3) Please provide patient numbers for the Nightingale hospital from its date of opening to October 2, 2020.
4) What is the current status of the Nightingale hospital? Is it still available for the health trust to use to treat patients, is it mothballed, has it been closed down, or another status?
If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to it, with page references and URLs if necessary.
I understand that you are required to respond to my request within the 20 working days after you receive this letter. I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request.
Yours faithfully,
Emma Youle
Dear Ms Youle,
We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail requesting information from the Trust under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ("the Act"). Please note that whilst the Trust strives to be open and is normally able to satisfy requests in full, the right of access is not absolute and we may therefore have to refuse queries, either in full or in part, on the basis of the exemptions (for example, in cases where disclosure would breach patient confidentiality, or put people in danger). All such decisions will be made, and fully justified, in accordance with the law.
We are required under the Act to respond to valid queries no later than the twentieth working day following receipt. Your request was received on 02/10/2020 , which means our deadline for response calculates to 30/10/2020. If we are able to respond to you sooner than this, we will do so.
Should you have any queries or concerns in the meantime, please contact us directly using the e-mail address below - quoting reference number 2020-0468
Please note: if, having fully considered your request, we reasonably require further information in order to respond, we will request this from you by e-mail as soon as possible. In all such cases, the above timescales will be disregarded and the 20 working day clock shall instead begin once we have received the necessary clarification. There shall be no duty for us to comply with your request until we receive this information from you.
Kind Regards,
Rebecca
Dear Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Nightingale hospital: Patient numbers and spend with consultants'.
I'm requesting this review as I have not received a response to the request. It is now significantly past the 20 day statutory time limit for responding, which was on 30/10/2020.
I appreciate this is a busy time for the NHS. But I would be grateful to now receive a timely response to this FOI as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully,
Emma Youle
Hello Emma,
Please can you confirm your FOI reference and I will look into this for you.
Many thanks
